Buckland Newton Playschool

As some of you may be aware, Buckland Newton Playschool temporarily closed as a provider of Early Years education for 3-5 year olds due to staff vacancies and recruitment issues over the summer.  There is a longer-term plan to integrate the Playschool into the Primary School.

To help fill this gap, parents of local children have come together and are embarking on an exciting venture offering a more structured Toddler Group, open to all from babies to pre-school children at the Village Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, between 9.30 and 11.30 am.

We are dedicated to providing an imaginative and friendly environment in which our children can learn and have fun together - and not just the children it seems, as any recent visitors would have seen parents awash with glitter, glue and autumn leaves, and wearing huge grins!  The enthusiasm of the parents has unleashed a wealth of creative ideas for the term, often revolving around some of the books and songs we hope to be reading and singing during the sessions.
