(NORDCAT & SCAT Bus provides a door-to-door demand responsive service in
North and North West Dorset respectively. The service enables access to
shopping, visiting friends, medical appointments and much more. The services run
in different parts of the area each day. Also available once a week is the
opportunity to visit the larger towns, e.g. Poole, Bournemouth, Street (Shopping
Village), Exeter, Salisbury and Dorchester. The vehicles are wheelchair-friendly
and easily accessible to those with mobility problems. We provide a service for
people of all ages who have difficulty in using normal public transport for whatever
reason and all people over 60. Any person wishing to use the service must
register. There is a small annual registration fee of £5.00, which covers the cost of
a newsletter and programme being circulated to you every 6 months. The buses
are also available for community groups to borrow at a competitive rate.)
